We are National Hardy Plant Society members belonging to our local Wilts. and Avon Group. Four years ago we began holding evening meetings in central Wiltshire at URCHFONT VILLAGE HALL (7.30pm) as an added venue to those daytime talks already offered by our main group. We are pleased to welcome members and visitors (for a small entrance charge) to our thriving and friendly meetings. What do we do?

We have eight speaker meetings at the hall; many speakers are specialists in their field and they come from all over the country, often bringing plants for sale. Occasionally local nurseries are also invited to sell their plants, so along with our members' sales table, there are plenty of buying opportunities! There are free refreshments, a raffle and a display table. Our notice board gives information about future meetings, garden visits and gardens open in the area.

We also have one coach trip a year (Essex gardens, Glen Chantry and Beth Chatto's in '08) and a well supported, fund raising supper night in a member's garden on a mid-summer balmy evening we hope!
